2015

Introduces syntax and vocabulary suited for confident readers. Every edition showcases age-appropriate news, to promote independent thinking and learn about the world. Rex and Eddie, Daily10’s two mascots, take readers through news, according to each child’s interests: Sports & Practical Life, Sciences & Technology, Nature & Environment, History & Geography or People and Arts.

    What's great
    About Daily10?

Reading nourishes the imagination, shapes our views of the world and strengthens our minds. Confident readers should still be encouraged to read for at least 15-20 minutes a day at home.

As kids progress in their primary school years, their interest for more sophisticated news grows. From science and technology, to the animal kingdom or ancient civilisations, Daily10 compiles intriguing, age-appropriate news that leaves our readers absorbed in educational infographics, cartoons, jokes and word games. Confidence in reading grows daily, as kids use tools like the dictionary and maps to learn about the world and broaden their vocabulary, with the help of mascots Rex and Eddie.

    Introducing
    Rex & Eddie

Rex is a small green dinosaur. He is always amazed by Eddie’s adventurous behaviour. Eddie sometimes makes fun of him, but he never gets mad at Eddie.

Eddie is a curious kid. He is interested in learning about everything. He likes going to different places  and explore new things. His best friend is Rex.

    Why Kids Dailies

"One in six people in the UK struggle with literacy. This means their literacy is below the level expected of an eleven year old."
UK Literacy - State of the Nation 2014
“Pleasure reading significantly increases school performance. Kids who read often at age 10 – and more than once a week at age 16 – gain higher results at age 16 than those who read less regularly.”
Dr Alice Sullivan and Matt Brown, Institute of Education, University of London
"Children and young people who engage in technology based texts, such as blogs, have more positive attitudes towards writing and reading."
UK Literacy - State of the Nation 2014
“My boys fight to be the first to read Daily10! It introduces the notion of current affairs to them. I clip some of the infographics to use in class projects – last year I saved an issue on Greece and the Olympics, so we could look at it again when we travelled to Olympia.”
    Denise
“Reading Daily10 has enriched and widened Zoe’s reading experience in many ways: Thank you for all the efforts and hard work!”
    Sarah

Just the right dose of reading every day

My son is a reluctant reader but somehow Daily10 is changing this. He loves the news topics and the support technology provides. He now reads every day and his teachers have noticed his progress.

    One subscription: two profiles

My sons used to read Daily7 and have now graduated to Daily10. They love the additional content and being able to maintain their very own profiles: now they can each save what they are most interested in. Really helpful!

Breaking news - Great preparation for secondary school

My daughter showed me the breaking news about Paris attacks in Daily10: she felt so grown-up. Good transition to a secondary school level.

PinYin a saving grace for me

Like many parents in Hong Kong, I don’t speak Chinese but send my child to a Chinese medium school. The Pinyin in Daily10 is a fabulous help for my child – and frankly, me too! Well done!
