Is conceived for young kids who do not read yet. Every day a very young child discovers easy sentences with accompanying text-to-speech audio. Fun activities with songs and rhythms encourage kinaesthetic learning. Milly and Finn, Daily5’s mascots, introduce phonics and simple number games. And every weekend a cute animation brings to life the material covered that week.

    WHAT'S GREAT
    ABOUT DAILY5

Wise mums know that a baby needs communication and language nourishment almost as much as actual food. Watching a very young child becoming familiar with spoken words and eventually pronouncing these words in the right context is magical.

Preparing to read takes these skills to the next level: one needs to be able to sort sounds and objects, recognise rhymes, be sensitive to rhythm and familiar with letters or characters to be able to read.

That’s what Kids Dailies offers with Daily5: a daily selection of fun-filled activities that will strengthen these skills surreptitiously.

Daily5 chooses themes attractive to pre-schoolers. Combining real life pictures with illustrations, each theme comes to life through games and activities. Milly and Finn, the mascots of Daily5, will make sure of that!

    INTRODUCING
    Milly & Finn

Milly is a shy bear who loves flowers and honey. She does not talk much, but enjoys spending time with her best friend, Finn.

Finn is a cheerful young bear. He likes sharing strawberry jam with others. His best friend is Milly.

    Why Kids Dailies

“Talking to an infant helps the brain to develop connections that refine hearing and help speech recognition.”
    Boston University, School of Medicine
“Between 6-12 months, a baby loses some of the ability to detect sound changes in an unknown language, while the brain connections strengthen to detect nuances in the languages heard most frequently.”
    Professor Anne Fernald, Stanford University
“Research reveals that two-year-old children of lower-income families who receive less directed talk, may already be six months behind in language development.”
    Boston University, School of Medicine
Lola and I enjoy our time reading Daily5 together. Our favourite sections are letters and numbers, as well as the songs.
    Madalina
Max speaks English and Chinese. With Daily5, he gets familiar vocabulary in these languages and takes it all in!

    Clever screen time

I am conservative and do not let my child play on the tablet for too long. Daily5 is just enough to get her engaged without fixating on it. I like that I can print specific pages for her to practice colouring and writing skills.

Milly and Finn animations are too cute

Every Sunday, my husband and I sit to watch the Milly and Finn animation with our 4 year-old. It’s adorable and our child is so proud to know the words Milly and Finn look for!

    I wish setting-up were easier!

It took me a while to get going… Especially with setting the font size I wanted, and saving Daily5 on my tablet to access it easily. Kids Dailies customer service was helpful though, and now that I am all set, I really enjoy this special time...

Perfect for children who do not read yet

Daily5 is the perfect introduction to reading; my child is reluctant to open a book but the Daily5 presentation is perfect. He doesn’t even notice that he’s learning as he enjoys it. He has made huge progress with phonics and short words.
